due to the protective oxidation of the aluminium there is prevention of corrosion of aluminium even though it is more reactive than iron or copper.

Explanation:

  • corrosion is formed due to the oxidation of iron. However aluminium also forms oxide on exposure to air.
  • However the Aluminium oxide forms a thick layer around the aluminium sheet which prevents further  oxygen to come in contact with the aluminium and hence prevent further corrosion. Hence corrosion is  arrested by the the oxide of aluminium.
