Al2(SO4)3 + 8NaOH 2NaAlO2 + 3Na2SO4 + 4H2O
GENERALLY for balancing u should first balance the central atom of all compounds and then remaining metals and at last go for oxygen and hydrogen.
The above reaction is easy enough which can be balanced by hit and trial method but many complicated ionic reactions can be balanced by some methods life ion-electron and many other.
