Because of the reason that Aluminum is sensitive to corrosion at high and low pH values that's why it is used to for storing pickles !

Aluminum is sensitive to corrosion at high and low pH values. Pickling brine is typically lower than pH 4.6. Below pH4, aluminum can corrode. Glass is a much better choice for containers for pickles.
