•The given details are as follows,

• Total number of soldiers =4770

• Number of soldiers left out =9

Let the number of rows = R

=>Let the number of columns = R

=>Number of soldiers = 4770 - 9

=>Number of soldiers = 4761

• According to question.

=> R² = 4761

=> R = √4761

=> R = 69

.°. Number of columns and number of rows is 69.
