Solution: let present age of Aman son = x year

then,

present age of Aman= 3x year

10 year ago Aman son age x- 10 year

Aman age= 3x - 10

now according to questions-:

$\displaystyle \: 3x - 10 = 5(x - 10)$

or

$\displaystyle3x - 10 = 5x - 50$

or

$\displaystyle3x - 5x = 50 + 10$

or

$\displaystyle - 2x = - 40$

or

$\displaystyle \: x= \frac{ - 40}{ - 2} = 20$

thus,, age of son is 20 year

and age of Aman= 3 × 20 =60
