Management as a Profession

Explanation:

Aman would have satisfied both Ahmed and David by telling him that management is a profession.

However, is is not a full fledged profession like accounting, medical or legal as it doesn't meet the exact criteria of a true profession. The following points will prove this:

  • Well-defined body of knowledge - Management is also based on a systematic body of knowledge, like a profession, it comprises well-defined guidelines. So, this feature is present in management.
  • Restricted entry - The entry is restricted through a prescribed qualification. It is mandatory for a manger to possess a specific degree. So, this feature is not present in management.
