This is not difficult
Just follow the method

Let the total distance covered be x

Distance covered by car = 2/5×x
 =  \frac{2x}{5} km

Distance covered by bus = 3/10 × x
 =  \frac{3x}{10} km

Distance covered by auto = 1/5 × x
 =  \frac{1x}{5} =  \frac{x}{5}  km

Distance covered on foot= 5 km

So,

the equation will be formed which is as follows

 \frac{2x}{5}  +  \frac{3x}{10}  +  \frac{x}{5}  + 5 = x

Transposing x to LHS and 5 to RHS,
we have,

 \frac{2x}{5}  +  \frac{3x}{10}  +  \frac{x}{5}  - x =  - 5

Taking 10 as LCM in the RHS,
we have,

 \frac{4x + 3x + 2x - 10x}{10}  =  - 5

 \frac{ - x}{10}  =  - 5
 - x =  - 5 \times 10
 - x  = - 50
cancelling the - sign in LHS and RHS , both ,

we have,

x = 50

So,
the total distance covered is 50km

let the total distance be x km

now,
2x/5+3x/10+1x/5+5=x

LCM OF 5,10,5=10

Therefore, 4x+3x+2x/10+5=x

9x/10+5=x

x-9x/10=5

10x-9x/10=5

x/10=5

x=50km
