It will not turn bluish black color. Since it has no chlorophyll in the beginning and does not perform photosynthesis.

Answer:

AIM: To test for starch in a fallen leaf

MATERIAL: Iodine, fallen leaf, dropper

PROCEDURE:

1. Take a fallen leaf

2. Note the green parts and the yellow parts

3. Pour some drops of iodine on the leaf

4. Note the change in color of the parts of leaf

OBSERVATION:

There is a change in color in the green parts of the leaf (it changes to bluish-black) whereas no change in yellow parts.

CONCLUSION:

Only green parts, which have chlorophyll have starch while fallen or yellow leaves don't.
