Let Aman's son age =x

Aman's age =3x

Ten years ago, he was 5 times the age of his son.

Therefore, 3x−10=5(x−10)

3x−10=5x−50

2x=40

x=20

Aman's son is 20 yrs old

Aman is 3x=3×20=60 yrs old.

Given :

A man's age in three times his son's age. ten years ago, he was five times his son's age.

To Find :

  • Their present age = ?

Answer:

  • Son's age = 20 years
  • Man's age = 60 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let age of son be x years and age of man be 3x years .

Ten years ago:

  • Sons age = x - 10
  • Man's age = 3x - 10

According to Question :-

➦ 3x -10  = 5 * (x-10)

➦ 3x - 10 = 5x - 50

➦ 50 -10  = 5x - 3x

➦ 40 = 2x

➦ x = 40/2

➦ x =20 years

Therefore,

  • Son's age = 20 years
  • Mans's age = 60 years
