Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of his son's is. x.

So, Aman's present age is 3x.

Five years ago his son's age was (x-5).

Five years ago Aman's age was {5(x-5)}.

And also Aman's age of five years ago was (3x-5).

So,

(3x-5)={5(x-5)}

or,3x-5=5x-25

or, 5x-3x=25-5

or, 2x. =20

x=10

3x=30.

So, Aman's present age is 30 years& and his son's age is 10 years...

Given:-

  • Aman's age is three times his son's age.

  • Ten years ago he was five times his son's age.

To Find:-

  • Their Present ages.

Now,

Let' the Son's Present age be "x"

→ Aman's Present age = 3x

Atq. before 10 years

→ Aman's age = 3x - 10

→ Aman's Son's age = 5(x - 10)

So,

3x - 10 = 5( x - 10)

→ 3x - 10 = 5x - 50

→ 3x - 5x = -50 + 10

→ -2x = -40

→ 2x = 40

→ x = 40/2

→ x = 20.

Therefore,

→ Aman Son's Present age = x → 20yrs

→ Aman's Present age = 3x → 3 × 20 → 60yrs.

Hence, Their Present ages are 20yrs and 60yrs Respectively.
