Answer:

The number of girls present on that day = 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the girls absent on that day be x

Now, total number of girls is given to be 30

So, total number of girls present that day = 30 - x

The quantity of rice was spent in the ratio of 6 : 5

\implies \frac{30}{30-x}=\frac{6}{5}\\\\\implies30\times 5=6\times (30-x)\\\\\implies 150=180-6\cdot x\\\\\implies 6\cdot x=180-150\\\\\implies 6\cdot x=30\\\\\bf\implies x=5

So, number of girls absent on that day = 5

Hence, the number of girls present on that day = 30 - 5

                                                                                   = 25
