Given :- Amar buys 100 oranges at 9.5 per piece During transportation, 24 oranges got spoiled Amar sells the remaining oranges at 156 per dozen. Find his profit or loss percent

a 6% profil

b. 4% loss

c. 4% profit

d. 5% profit

Solution :-

→ CP of 1 orange = Rs.9.5

→ CP of 100 oranges = 9.5 * 100 = Rs.950

now, since 24 oranges got spoiled . amar sold rest oranges .

so,

→ SP of 12 oranges = Rs.156

→ SP of 1 orange = (156/12)

→ SP of 76 oranges = (156/12) * 76 = Rs.988

then,

→ Profit = SP - CP = 988 - 950 = Rs.38

therefore,

→ Profit % = (Profit * 100) / CP = (38 * 100) / 950 = 4% (C) (Ans.)

Given :  Amar buys 100 oranges at ₹ 9.5 per piece During transportation, 24 oranges got spoiled Amar sells the remaining oranges at  ₹ 156 per dozen.

To Find :   profit or loss percent

Solution:

Amar buys 100 oranges at ₹ 9.5 per piece

CP = 100 * 9.5  =  950 ₹

During transportation, 24 oranges got spoiled

Available to sell = 100 - 24 = 76

sells the remaining oranges at  ₹ 156 per dozen.

1 dozen = 12

=> Per orange selling price = 156/12  =₹ 13

=> SP for 76 oranges = 76 * 13  =₹ 988

988 > 950  => SP > CP

Hence profit

Profit = 988 - 950 = ₹ 38

Profit  %  = 100 *  ( Profit )/CP

=> Profit  %  =  100 * 38 / 950   = 4 %

4 % Profit
