200

Step-by-step explanation:

basic method:

let Amar bought it for Rs x

110/100 * 105/100 * x = 231

11/10 * 21/20 * x = 231

x = Rs 200

Ratio method:

10% = 1/10 , 5% = 1/20

Am:Ak: Y

=10 : 11

20 : 21 = 200:220:231

Anthony paid = Rs 231

231 units = Rs 231 => 1 unit = Rs 1

  1. Amar paid = 200 × 1 = Rs 200

% method:

Let Amar paid = 100%

Akbar paid = 110% , Anthony paid

= 110% + 5/100* 110% = 115.50 %

115.50% = Rs 231 => 1% = Rs 2

amar said= 100% = 100×2 = Rs 200
