Dr. BR Amberdkar played a very important role for dalit. He demanded equal rights for dalit.He even clashed with Gandhiji at second round table conference in London.He wanted separate constituency for dalits. He had formed Dalit class Association around 1933(not sure about year.).

we can say that he played a very vital role in improving the condition of dalits and untouchables (known as SCs/STs).
