Parliament of India is divided into two houses

  1. Upper house
  2. Lower house

Upper house: Upper house parliament is called as Rajya sabha where members are elected for 6 years and 2/3rd members retires every two years. Total seats are 250.

Lower House: Lower house parliament is Lok Sabha where members are elected for 5 years as Member of parliament (MPs). total no. of parliament seats are 545.
