let length = 5x and breadth = 3x
then area = length*breadth = 5x*3x = 15x^2
Given, cost per meter of fencing of land = Rs.500
total cost = Rs.960
therefore, perimeter of land = 960/500 = 1.92 metres
i.e, 2(5x+3x) = 1.92 => 16x = 1.92 => x = 0.12
hence, area = 15x^2 = 15(0.12)^2 = 15(0.0144) = 0.216 sq.meters
