Ameya had Rs.360 with him.The number of notes of Rs.10 is double the number of notes of Rs.50 and the number of notes of Rs.5 are more by 12 than the number of notes of Rs.50.Find total number of notes.

let number of notes of Rs.10 be x, number of notes of Rs.50 be y,and let number of notes of Rs.5 be z. given number of notes of Rs.10 is double the number of notes of 50. which implies
x= 2y .
also given number of notes of Rs. 5 are more by 12 than number of notes of 50 . which implies
z=y+12
also given ameya had Rs.360 .which implies
10x+50y+5z=360
=> 10(2y)+50y+5(y+12)=360
=> 20y+50y+ 5y+60=360
=>75y=300
=>y=4
now x= 8 and z= 16
hence total number of notes is x+y+z= 8+16+4= 28
