Let the number she thought be x

ATQ ,she subtract the 5/2 from the no.= x-5/2

She multiply the result by 8 =8(x-5/2)

Solution:-

3x = 8(x-5/2)

3x=8x -20

20=5x

x=4

So, the number she thought is 4.
