Amit and Sumit invested a total of ₹1,00,000 in a business in the portion 3:2 respectively. What did each of them invested?

Ratio of investment of two partners = 12500/8500 =25/17

As the time period of investment is same the ratio of profit is same as ratio of investment.

Hence, P1:P2 = 25:17

Let P1 be 25x and P2 be 17x.

25x−17x=300

X = 300/8 = 37.5 

Total profit ×0.4 =25x+17x

Total profit = 42×37.5/0.4 = 3937.50
