Given,
Amit+Bhavna+Chandan complete a work in '1' day.
Total work = Efficiency * Days
Efficiency(Amit : Bhavna) = 5:1
Efficiency (Chandan:Bhavna) = 2:1 [since Chandan takes only half the time taken by Bhavna, Chandan is twice as efficient as Bhavna)
Efficiency(Amit:Bhavna:Chandan) = 5:1:2
Total Efficiency = 5+1+2 = 8
Total work = 8*1 = 8
Time taken by Amit to complete the work alone = Work/Efficiency = 8/5 = 1.6 days
Time taken by Chandan to complete the work alone = 8/2 = 4 days.
Difference in time taken by Amit and Chandan = 4-1.6 = 2.4 days
Hope it helps.
