The market value i.e., the MV of the share is Rs. 125 and also the dividend earned on 24 shares is Rs. 192.

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of shares Amit had bought = 24

The face value of shares = Rs. 100

Investment done on the shares = Rs.3000

The rate of dividend = 8  %

Therefore,

The Market Value (MV) of each share is given by,

= \frac{3000}{24}

= Rs. 125

Since 8% dividend was declared on the shares and we always calculate dividend on face value of a share, so,

The dividend earned per share will be,

= [rate of dividend] * F.V.

=  (8/100)*100

= Rs. 8

The dividend earned on 24 shares will be = 24 * Rs. 8 = Rs.192
