Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:12bananas-16 rs

3600 bananas - X rs

X = (3600 x 16)/12

X= 4800 rs

so amit spent 4800 rs on 3600 bananas

he sold 1850 bananas at 4 rs for 2 bananas(2 rs for 1 banana)

therefore he sold the 1850 bananas at 1850 x 2 = 3700 rs

the rest (3600 - 1850 = 1750)

he sold 1750 bananas at 8 rs for 5 bananas(8/5rs for 1 banana)

1750 x 8/5 = 2800 rs

therefore he sold the 1750 bananas at 2800 rs

so he sold the 3600 bananas at 3700+2800=6500 rs

cost price = 4800

selling price = 6500

gain = CP-SP = 6500-4800=1700rs

gain % = gain/CP x 100

gain % = 1700/4800 x 100 = 35.4167 %
