Given : Amit built two snowball catapults.

The catapults are 14.5 m apart,

From catapult A, there is a  96° angle between catapult B and the target. From catapult B, there is a  58° angle between catapult A and the target.

To Find :  Distance of  A and B from target

Solution:

Let say Target is at C

AB = 14.5 m

∠A = 96°

∠B = 58°

=> ∠C = 180°  -96° - 58°  = 26°

AB/SinC  = AC/SinB  = BC/SinA

=> 14.5/Sin26°  = AC/Sin58°  = BC/Sin96°

AC  = 28.1  cm

BC =  32.9  cm
