amit drives his car at a constant rate of 40 km per hour for one hour and then at a constant rate of 60 km per hour for one more hour. find his average speed.​

Answer:

in Both condition amit covered some distance in same time  

For equal time interval

average speed =       (V1+V2)/2

                             = (40+60)/2

                           = 100/2

                           = 50km/h
