hey friend!!!!
Amit's Earning of one month = Rs 16000
He spends (1/4)th of his income on food.
Now
(1/4)th of Rs 16000 = Rs 1/4×16000 = Rs 4000
Remaining money = Rs (16000 – 4000) = Rs (12000)
Now, (3/10)th of this amount is spent on house rent and (5/21)th of this amount is spent on education of children.
(3/10)th of 12000 = Rs 3/10 × 12000 = 3600
and
(5/21)th of 12000 = Rs 5/21 ×12000 = 2857.14
Thus, the money left with him = Rs {12000 – (3600 + 2857.14)} = Rs (5542.86)
I think my answer is capable to clear your confusion..

Answer:
Amit earn of one month = Rs 16000
He spends (1/4) of his income on food.
Now
(1/4) × 16000 = Rs 4000
= (16000 - 4000) = Rs (1200)
Now,(3/10)th of this amount is spend on house rent and(5/21)th of this amount is spend on education of children.
= Rs (3/10) × 1200 = 3600
and
= 5/21 × 3600 = 2857.14
Thus, is the money left with him = {12000} - (3600+2857.14) = Rs 5542.86
