VALUE BASED QUESTION:-

Amit is a chief chef in a reowned hotel. He observes that some of the utensils have become black at the bottom.

This line means that a layer of carbon has stuck in the botton of the the utensils.

This can be due to incomplete combustion of the carbon present in your fuel.

Due to less supply of the oxygen the fuel mostly butane or methane which contains carbon does not burn competely.

And when this unburnt carbon is heated it gives red color to the flame and then it finally sticks the the utensils.

You might have seen COAL is is also black CUZ it contains carbon, SIMILARLY, the bottom of the utensils is also covered with unburnt carbon layer.

Due to this it appears black.

the measures of preventing this is :-

(1). Clean the gass stove and utencils properly.

(2).Clear the air passage and the air holes of the stove.

(3). Use better fuel.
