Answer:

let Amit's age is x and his daughter's age is y

according to 1st condition,

x=5y

according to second condition ,

6x=(3y)

6(5y)=3y

30y=3y

y=10

x=5y

x=5(10)

x=50

Amit's age is 50 year

Answer:

Amit is 30 years old.

Assume Amit's daughter age is x years.

So Amit's age = 5x.

After 6 years,

Amit's daughter age = x+6.

Amit's age = 5x+6.

It is given that after 6 years Amit age will be three times his daughter's age, hence

3(x+6) = 5x+6

3x + 18 = 5x + 6

5x-3x = 18-6

2x = 12

x = 12÷2

x = 6

Amit's daughter age, x = 6 years.

Amit's age = 5x = 5×6 = 30 years.
