According to the question

• 40% of A = 2/3 B

Now ,

• A/B = 5/3

• A:B = 5:3

Let the age of Amit be ‘x’.

Now, Amit’s age= x
Amit’s father’s age = 3x


3x + x = 56
4x =56
x = 56/4
x = 14

Therefore, amit is 14 years old.
And, Amit’s father is 14x3= 42 years old.
