As mentioned in the question Amit's salary is 25% more than pawan , and pawan's salary is 15% more than rashid.

Let pawan's salary = x

Amit's salary = x + 25% of x

= x + 25x/100

= 125x/100

Rash/id's salary = x - 15% of x

= x - 15x/100

= 85x/100

Their salary are in the ratio of,

Amit : pawan : rashid = 125x/100 : x : 85x/100

Amit : pawan : rashid = 125x : 100x : 85x = 25 : 20 : 17

25 + 20 + 17 = 62

Now amit's salary = 12500

That is amit's salary is 25/62 part of total salary

Let total salary be x

25x/62 = 12500

x = 12500 * 62/25

= 31000

Total salary is 31000

Now rashid's salary = 17/62 * 31000

= 17 * 500

= 8500

Hence rashid's salary is 8500.
