Let the salary of pawan be X.
Amit's salary is 25% more than Pawan's salary
so:
salary of Amit = X + 25% of X = 125X/100
and Rasshid's salary is 15% less than Pawan's salary, so:
salary of Rasshid = X - 15% of X = 85X/100
(using the given amount of Amit's salary)
125X/100 = 12500
X = 12500 × 100/125
X = 100×100 = 10000
(putting value of X for Rashid's salary, we get
= 85X/ 100
= 85 × X/100
= 85 × 10000/100
= 85 × 100 = 8500
hence, Pawan's salary is ₹ 10,000
Amit's salary is ₹ 12,500
and Rashid's salary is ₹ 8,500.
X = 12500 × 100/125
X = 100×100 = 10000
(putting value of X for Rashid's salary, we get
= 85X/ 100
= 85 × X/100
= 85 × 10000/100
= 85 × 100 = 8500
hence, Pawan's salary is ₹ 10,000
Amit's salary is ₹ 12,500
and Rashid's salary is ₹ 8,500.
