SUPPOSE AMIT IS AT THE POINT ⭕

HE WALKED 16 M IN SOUTH....

AND THEN 63 M TO EAST....AND REACHED ⭕

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

MEANS HERE IS A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE FORMED....

SO BY THE PYTHAGORAS THM.....

SO

16^2+63^2= the diagonal^2....

256+3969= the diagonal^2.....

4225= the diagonal^2

so diagonal =√4225

so DIAGONAL= 65 M

SO THE DISTANCE BETWEEN HIS FRIEND'S HOUSE AND HIS HOUSE IS 65M

HOPE IT WILL HELP U MATE ☺❤☺

Answer:

Distance covered in south=16m

Distance covered in east = 63m

Then he moved diagonally to return back home.

(If you will mame the figure you will see that it is a right angle triangle)

So using PGT

(H)^2=(P)^2 + (B)^2

(63)^2 = (P)^2 + (16)^2

P^2 = 3969 - 256

P^2 =3713

P= 60.93
