Solution:

Increment in Amit's Salary = 20%
Amit's new salary = ₹30,600
Amit's salary before the increment = 20% of ₹30600 = 20/100 × 30,600 = ₹6,120
=) ₹30,600 - ₹6,120 = ₹24,480

Therefore, before the increment, Amit's salary was ₹24,480.

increments in Amit salary=20%
let the old salary is x
and new salary is given=30600
so
x+20% of x=30600
ans =25500
