v = u + at

Here,

■ v = 10 km/s

■ u = 0 km/s

■ t = 40 s

10 = 0 + a(40)

10 = 40a

10/40 = a

\bold{=>\frac{1}{4} \: km\: s^{-2} = a} \\ \\ \bold{=>0.25\:km\:s^{-2} = acceleration}

However S.I unit of acceleration is meter per sq second but when question demands km per sq second then we have to solve question accordingly.
