Amla evaluated the expression 7-(-5) and came up with answer -12 ? what did Amla do wrong ? whats the error ?

the ans is for this sum is 12

He multiplied 7 with - 5 resulting answer - 12, by forgetting another - sign, which was his error. He should have got 12 as right answer, if dies the sum properly.
