Let Abir's income be = x

So Amlan's Income = 1.25x

Abir's income is 0.25x less than Amlan's.

0.25x is 20% of 1.25x

So, Abir's income is 20% less than Amlan's.

Answer:

20% lesser than Amlaan .

Given:

Amlan's income is 25% more than that of Abir.

To find:

How much percent is the income of Abir less than that of amlaan

Solution:

Let the income of Abir be Rs.100

Hence the income of Amlan is 25% more, and so Abir’s income is Rs.125

So Amlan income is Rs.25 less than Abir’s income.

In terms of percentage, Abir’s income is

\frac{100}{125} \times 100=80 \%

Hence it is 20% lesser than Amlaan .

Result:

20% lesser than Amlaan .
