Ammonia is formed when nitrogen gas and hydrogen gas combine in the
ratio of 14:3 by Mass. What mass of nitrogen gas would be required to
react completely with 9g of hydrogen gas?

b Molecular mass of ammonia NH3 = mass of N + mass of H = 14 + 3 × 1 =17 To react with 14 g N mass of H required = 3 g Therefore to react with 42 g N mass of H required = 3/ 14 ×42 = 9g.
