Ammonia is soluble in water due to the force of attraction between ammonia and water.

The hydrogen atoms of ammonia are in bond with the nitrogen atoms ( highly electronegative ) .

While the hydrogen atoms of water are bonded with the oxygen atoms ( highly electronegative ) .
