Ammonium carbonate is formed when three different elements, namely ammonia(\bold{\;NH_3}) and carbon(\bold{\;C}) and oxygen(\bold{\;O_2}) combine in a fixed ratio by mass.

It is represented using a formula which is as follows:

\large\bold{(NH_4)_2CO_3}

The radicals involved in the formation of the above compound are Ammonium and Carbonate.

Out of the above two radicals, Carbonate is the acid radical whereas Ammonium is the basic radical.
