(i) A pale blue precipitate is formed and the precipitate dissolves when excess of ammonium hydroxide is added, giving clear deep blue solution of tetra amine copper sulphate. (ii) White gelatinous precipitate of Zn(OH)2 is formed and the ppt. dissolves in excess of ammonium hydroxide to give a clear transparent solution.Read more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/256524/state-observations-ammonium-hydroxide-solution-added-drop-excess-following-solutions
