hey mate,

amoeba is a unicellular organism. In older classification systems, most amoebas were placed in the class or subphylum Sarcodina, a grouping of single-celled organisms that possess pseudopods or move by protoplasmic flow.

Heya!! Here is your answer!

Let me start from explaining from the beginning:

There are four types of nutrition:

✨Autotrophic nutrition

✨ Heterotrophic nutrition

✨Parasitic nutrition

✨Holozoic nutrition

Amoeba,is a special type of organism which is categorised in the Holozoic nutrition.

Now,let me explain you what is amoeba.

The amoeba, is a microscopic organism living in the soil, freshwater and marine habitats, which has a strange way of feeding. This is an unicellular organism that comprises its body which has no particular shape. It sticks out its finger-like projections called the Pseudopodia which helps it to move and ingest food. When an amoeba senses the presence of suitable food,in its surroundings, it sticks out its Pseudopodia and engulfs the food.Once food is inside the cell, the amoeba digests it with the help of enzymes.Enzymes are special chemical substances produced in the body of an organism. They help in digestion of food.
