Amoeba multiplies by mitotic cell division is a reproduction.

Explanation:

This is not growth as the amoeba is a unicellular organism so the mitosis of the unicellular organisms creates an individual amoeba. So this is a reproduction. In the multi cellular organisms the mitosis cell division creates growth in organisms.

So in the amoeba the mitotic cell division is a form of the reproduction by which a new amoeba will form. It is also called binary fission.
