So, Y= 24+X (as per A) = 2X+2 ( as per B)

That is, 24= 2X+2-X

24= X+2

So Son’s current age is 22 years. Father’s current age is 46 ( 22+24). After 2 years, father will be 48 and Son will be 24 years, so father will be twice the age of his son (24*2= 48)
