Lowering of freezing point is a colligative property. That is it depends upon the no. of solute particles in the solution only.
When you add 1 moleKCl, it dissociatesin 2 mole particles . thus increases number of particles in solution. [Hence we say that it has got v.h.factor 2]
Addition of 1 mole of glucose, urea, sucrose etc.(called as non electrolyte) will result in total no. of particles to be 1 mole only. (hence we say all these have got VH factor 1.)
Thus higher the i, higher is the colligative property. Hence more lowering will occur in KCl solution.
