among animals the predators like lions have their eyes facing forward at the front of their heads the animals of prey like rabbit usually have eyes at the sides of their head why is this so?

It is due the the evolution of animals. Lions and other predators have eyes in front of their faces so as to detect the prey and catch it while rabbits have eyes on the sides of their heads so as to keep a watch for predators while grazing so that they can see them and run in time.
