QUESTION:-Among HF, H2O, NH3 and CH4 which one is more covalent?

ANSWER:- To know the covalent nature of compound you should know that Covalent nature is directly proportional to charge of cation , inversely proportional to size of cation and covalent nature is directly proportional to charge of anion, directly proportional to size of anion

GIVEN COMPOUNDS:- HF, H2O, NH3 and CH4

correct order of covalent nature will be-

CH4>NH3>H2O>HF

hence, CH4 is most covalent compound.
