Answer:

let the smaller angle be x then larger angle be x+42

now of angle of supplementary is 180°

therefore x+x+42=180

2x+42=180

2x=180-42

2x=138

x=138/2

x=69° answer

Answer:

let the smaller angle = x°

larger angle = x°+42°

It is given that the angles are supplementary angles.So the sum of angles will be 180°

=》larger angle + smaller angle = 180°

=》x°+x°+42°=180°

=》2x°+42°=180°

=》2x°=180°-42°

=》2x°=138°

=》x°=69°

Smaller angle = x°=69°

Larger angle = x°+42°=69°+42°=111°

The larger angle is 111° and the smaller angle is 69°.
