Then the sum of the larger angle = 180° - x (Equation 1)

ATQ, measure of larger angle = 36 degree more than the measure of the smaller

measure of larger angle = x + 36° (Equation 2)

On comparing both the equations we get,

180°-x = x°+36°

180°-36° = x+x

144° = 2x

x = 144/2

x = 72°

Hence, measure of smaller angle = 72°

And measure of larger angle = 72° + 36°

                                                 = 114°
