Amonia is converted into uric acid by Inosinic pathway

information

- When uric acid is made from ammonia in the liver, it is known as the inosine pathway and Urea is produced by the liver which released it into the bloodstream.

- Urea (NH2CONH2) , uric acid( C5H4N4O3) and (NH3)

Ammonia

2 NH3 + CO2 + 3 ATP + H2O → H2N-CO-NH2 + 2 ADP + 4 Pi + AMP ( convertion of ammonia into urea )

- mammals (including humans) produce urea from ammonia and birds and reptiles produce uric acid which is excreted in urine instead of in feces but Ammonia is more water soluble and also more toxic than either urea or uric acid.
