Heart beats roughly 72 times in a minute and the same number of cardiac cycles take place. So it could be calculated that duration of one cardiac cycle is 0.8 sec.
Now one cardiac cycle consists of systole and diastole.
During a cardiac cycle each ventrical pumps out approximately 70ml of blood which is called the stroke volume.
Stroke volume multiplied by heart rate gives cardiac output which is about 5000ml or 5L in a healthy individual.
