 \huge \mathbb \purple{QUESTION}

Find the cost of polishing a circular table-top of diameter 1.6m, if the rate of polishing is 15/m². (π = 3.14)

 \huge \mathbb \purple{SOLUTION}

We have, diameter  = 1.6m

Radius =  \frac{1.6}{2}  = 0.8m

Area of table-top to be polished  = \pi r  ^{2}

 = 3.14 \times (0.8) ^{2}

 = 3.14 \times 0.8 \times 0.8

 = 2.0096m ^{2}

→ Area of table-top  = 2.0096m ^{2}

→ Cost of polishing of 1m² = Rs. 15

→ Cost of polishing the table-top

  \sf{ = rs.15 \times 2.0096 = rs.30.144 \: or \: rs.30}

Hope It Helps You!!....

Answer:

Diameter = 1.6 m

∴ Radius = 1.62 = 0.8 m

Area of the table-top = πr square

= 3.14 × 0.8 × 0.8 m square

= 2.0096 m square

∴ Cost of polishing = ₹ 15 × 2.0096

= ₹ 30.14 (approx.)
